Ayurvedic Diet, Lifestyle & Wellbeing
What is Ayurveda?
Ayurveda is an ancient Indian holistic medical system, based on achieving physical and mental harmony with nature. It simply means science of life and has been practiced for more than 5000 years.
Today, Ayurveda is a recognised branch of medicine existing in India alongside conventional medicine and is becoming ever more popular with spas and health centres around the world.
How can Ayurvedic diet & lifestyle help me?
The aim of Ayurveda is to restore balance and harmony, whilst realigning us with the rhythms of nature to bring about self-healing, wellbeing and longevity.
Ayurvedic nutritional and lifestyle support, together with herbal remedies, may greatly assist in achieving your optimum state of wellbeing and a happy and healthy mind, body and spirit.
Who are you?
Ayurveda treats you, the person and your individual prakruti/nature and body type. This is based on the concept that all living matter is made up of the earths’ five elements. These are sub-typed as the doshas and are categorised into their main types: Vata, Pitta and Kapha.
What happens in an Ayurvedic consultation?
After an initial discussion, your body type and prakruti nature would be assessed by our experienced practitioner. Nutritional and lifestyle advice and support would then be provided to assist in the restoration of balance and harmony for you as a whole person ie. mind, body and spirit.
